We're an energetic band from the east of the Netherlands. From gritty classic rock hits to pop-punk bangers and modern favourites, we'll deliver a solid set full of recognizable songs played with passion and conviction. No nonsense, just full throttle!
We’ll bring the best of rock ‘n roll with a passion that is simply contagious. Expect tight riffs, heavy grooves, and a dose of in-your-face energy you won’t forget anytime soon. Think you can handle it?

Before you ask: "Why the name Broke 'N Burning", let us explain... You see, as students we were simply broke like so many others. We practiced in the Uni's music studios. In summer though, this could get quite hot since they never bothered to install AC. Hence, next to broke, we were also burning and our name was born.

Hello hello, this is Jort. My inspiration and enjoyment in the rock scene mainly comes from relatively modern and harder rock like emo, punk, alternative rock, nu-metal and a hint of metalcore, but I can definitely enjoy some classic and catchy sing-alongs as well. Having only started actively singing since I was 21, I am a bit of a late bloomer. Though I am nowhere near finished exploring and improving my vocal capabilities, I already love screaming my lungs out on stage. Seeing the crowd jump around and sing along is simply one of the greatest sights as a musician. Adding my completely healthy amount of craziness to the mix always makes for a fantastic experience!
it all started somewhere
For us this "Somewhere" was at a house party in 2022
At a houseparty somewhere in 2022, Robin and Dennis met and ended up in one of those late-night conversations that slowly shifts from casual talk to something a bit more serious. They quickly found out their shared taste in bands and that they had both played in bands before. Then, the idea came up: what if we actually started something of our own?
At the time, it stayed just that, an idea. Life moved on, months passed, and nothing really happened. Until Robin started to feel it again. That familiar itch. The feeling that this shouldn’t just stay a “what could’ve been?”. He reached out to Dennis, and from there things started moving quickly.
Through friends of friends, a small group came together, and the first rehearsal session became a reality. It was rough, but a lot of fun, exactly how it should be in the beginning. A year later we finally left the practice room for our first gig. And now, close to 30 something gigs later, having won a band competition, battle of the bands and having played at a festival, here we are. 🤘🏼
what's next?
Right now, our focus is on getting out there and playing live as much as possible — from tentfeesten and cafés to bars and smaller stages where we can really have fun and build momentum.
At the same time, we’re shaping our own sound. Our very own original songs are in the works, and you’ll be hearing the results of that very soon.
Looking further ahead, the goal is simple: keep growing, keep improving, and see how far this can go. Big stages like Pinkpop would be the dream, but for now, we’re focused on the next gig, the next song, and the next step forward.
